More than 40 years ago, Ken Rohl was touring European trade shows for his American employer. Amazed by the standard of kitchen and bathroom brassware available to the European market, he knew immediately he had a golden opportunity.
This was the beginning of a journey for the whole Rohl family, building a distribution business that ultimately acquired the brands it had so much success selling.
Today, the House of Rohl group is owned by Fortune Brands, a US corporation listed on the New York Stock Exchange. The vision remains unchanged, to bring together stories of craft, design and excellence, giving customers products of substance and meaning.
Victoria + Albert
Victoria + Albert’s baths have an international reputation. Every bath and basin is made from a Quarrycast™, a blend of Volcanic Limestone™ and a unique resin.
It is light, warm to the touch and incredibly strong. This gives Victoria + Albert’s designers the freedom to create award-winning designs that can last a lifetime.
Riobel
Riobel brassware was born in Quebec and inspired by Canada’s most vibrant city. The sculptural forms deftly conceal the advanced engineering beneath. Established by a plumber, from a family of plumbers, the philosophy has always been to design taps for reliability and easy fitting.
Recommended by installers and loved by owners in its native country, Riobel was launched into Europe at the end of 2021.
Shaws
Shaws was established in Lancashire, England, in 1897. It is the oldest dedicated manufacturer of fireclay kitchen sinks. Shaws still makes each sink, by hand, as it always has. Their durability is legendary. We know of many families that have been using their Shaws sink daily for more than 120 years.
Perrin & Rowe
Perrin & Rowe make luxury brassware and sanitaryware. At their English foundry, molten brass is poured by hand at 1,000°C into intricate moulds. The finest grade brass is used to ensure a perfect cast. Each piece is precision machined before being polished by hand.
