In 1985, the Greek mattress manufacturer was one of the first companies to develop a handmade anatomical mattress: Bodyfix. Since then, there have been several innovations in the field of manufacturing and organization, such as the independent production of our Cotton Calico Pocket Springs. Additionally, Candia was the first ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certified company in Greece.
Today, Candia produces more than 29 different types of upholstered bed bases, supplemented by a brand-new line of beds. Handmade, from the first step to the last step in the production process.

Olive oil treatment
Candia is the only company in the world that treats its textiles with olive oil. This is an innovation that we are proud of. By treating our fabrics with olive oil, they get all the beneficial properties of olive oil, including antibacterial properties that protect the skin. The acidity of olive oil is similar to the acidity of our skin. The oil makes your skin feel soft and velvety and also protects against free radicals that promote signs of aging.

100% natural materials
Mother nature knows best. That is why we observe her, we trust her, we learn from her, and we use the best of what she has to offer us. The purest materials for making perfect mattresses. Everything Candia does is inspired by nature. The mattresses are made entirely from natural materials, are not glued and have the most springs (more than 19,000 springs in a 160 cm x 200 cm mattress), which perfectly follows the natural shape of the body. Think of materials such as cashmere, horsehair, cotton wool, coconut fibers, camel hair, latex and bamboo.

Independent production of Cotton Calico Pocket Springs
One of the innovations in the field of manufacturing and organization is the independent production of our own Cotton Calico Pocket Springs. These springs are produced with high-quality steel. The ticking is made of light cotton, 100% natural material.
